Nurit Sprecher, Outgoing Chairman, ETSI MEC ISG

The key API documents resulting from the first phase of the ETSI MEC ISG work are now complete and ready for publication. The MEC ISG specified a number of API components. The first is an application enablement, which is a generic framework for the delivery of services, can be used throughout the industry, not just in edge-network scenarios, for example it could be used in the 3GPP's study on the creation of northbound APIs. A common framework will enable developers to adopt common practices and allows operators to monetise the network in a consistent way. The MEC ISG has also developed specific service-related APIs as well as management and orchestration APIs.
