Mansour Karam, CEO, Apstra
Apstra is developing self operating networks to automate the operations of network infrastructure, and in the process save on cost of operations by removing the need to manually configure and troubleshoot networks and instead use intent-based analytics and continuous validation. Telcos need to massively scale their networks to meet the 50% annual growth in network traffic, but with no corresponding revenue growth there will have to be capex and opex reductions. Apstra has developed its own operating system, AOS, that sits on top of the infrastructure to enable telcos to manage their networks as a system in a fully automated way, and in the process further disaggregating software to enable telcos to bring in their own comedy hardware.
