In partnership with Intel, Canada-based Sandvine has demonstrated 1.1Tbit/s throughput with its policy traffic switch VNF, showing that COTS systems are highly capable of working with NFV. It says that operators can achieve equal or greater performance with NFV to what has been capable with existing physical network appliances.
