Automotive: The SDV globalisation gap

Panel Discussion

A panel of automotive and telecom experts from 5GAA, General Motors, Orange Business, Cubic, Aptiv and JLR discuss the challenges to achieving global scale for software-defined vehicles (SDVs). While most OEMs currently deploy connected vehicle services in approximately 50 first-tier countries, SDV ambitions target 140 or more markets. The discussion explores solutions to fragmented connectivity models, eSIM lifecycle complexity, compliance requirements and uneven regulatory environments that create a globalisation gap, potentially turning one SDV vision into dozens of incompatible implementations.
