Hewlett Packard Enterprise is supporting and delivering Intel Select Solutions to communications service providers to assist them with their NFV infrastructure (NFVi) evaluation processes. Solutions based on the new Intel Xeon Scalable processors are now being used to bring added value to NFVi deployments. Whilst for many, servers are still seen as commodity products, the telecoms industry has a number of specific and unique requirements that need to be addressed. And there is also the question of Open Compute (OCP), which has garnered much attention recently, and its role within the telecoms transformation to NFV.
