So far SDN’s ability to penetrate the enterprise network appears to have been relatively limited. But why? What are the reasons why adoption and take-up of open SDN have been slower than expected, and what can the industry to do to improve the situation? One thing appears certain though, and that's enterprises, just like telcos, are looking to fix the problem with "vendor lock-in", and some flavour of SDN could be the solution.
