Ben Hickey, Chief Customer Officer, Lumina Networks

Lumina Networks sees virtualized and composable infrastructure as being critical to successful 5G networks, which is where open source can help assist with both the orchestration and the management of the dynamic virtual components, as well as providing the layer of abstraction that sits on top to reduce the complexity. Open Daylight will continue to be an important open source project for telcos looking for SDN controllers, as will ONAP and OSM in the orchestration space.
