Swisscom operates a large OpenStack-based cloud for supporting NFV applications for its TV and media services, developed in partnership with HPE. The CSP currently implements virtualized and containerized TV media functions such as transcoding, streaming, and hosting backend applications, and the solution enables a much faster speed of service rollout. Amongst the challenges faced in designing and building this OpenStack-based NFV Cloud was Onboarding VNFs, as the two partners explain. They also reveal what's next for the telco cloud, and specifically their use of OpenStack.

Featuring:
Mihajlo Zivkovic, Product Owner, ICT Project Manager & Architect, Swisscom & Marco Lötscher, Solution Architect, Media and Entertainment, HPE

Filmed at: OpenStack Summit, 2018, Vancouver, Canada
