Neos Networks launches business grade Ethernet FTTx service, providing coverage across the nation

LONDON, UK, April 20 2021 – Neos Networks, one of the UK’s leading connectivity providers, today announces the launch of its Ethernet over FTTx (EoFTTx) service. The cost-effective sub 1Gbps solution has been purpose-built to support growing demand for a full suite of Ethernet services. Neos Networks can now fully support a range of capacities all the way up to 100Gbps through its online pricing portal LIVEQUOTE, making it a one-stop shop for its customers’ connectivity needs.

The EoFTTx solution has been designed to revolutionise the market. Enabling end-user businesses, public organisations, service providers and alternative networks providers to access Ethernet services at lower capacities and at a lower price point without having to compromise on quality. The service is perfect for organisations operating smaller sites that are unsuitable for services 1Gbps and above, but are too mature for broadband connectivity.

Neos Networks is utilising its own expansive fibre network as well as Openreach’s access product to deploy Ethernet over FTTx via Ethernet over Fibre to The Cabinet (EoFTTC) and Ethernet over Fibre to The Premise (EoFTTP). Neos Networks will provide both copper and fibre services. Should full fibre services be available in your region, it will always be offered in the first instance supporting the UK’s digital ambitions to better connect the nation.

As the UK government looks to futureproof the nation’s digital ambitions, with 85% of premises promised access to fibre connectivity by 2025, Ethernet over FTTx will become a critical component in helping to meet this target. Ensuring businesses have access to a fibre connectivity solution that meets their needs. The service is set to further complement Neos Networks’ existing product portfolio, enabling the UK telco to support the connectivity requirements of an even greater number of businesses across the nation.

The announcement comes as Neos Networks continues its substantial network expansion programme, which will see the trusted UK telco grow its own fibre network to over 30,000km by the end of 2021. The business is significantly developing its exchange footprint with over 550 exchanges on-net by the end of the year.

The solution is available via Neos Networks’ customer portal LIVEQUOTE which provides quoting, ordering and price comparison capabilities via its own network and those of leading third parties, for business connectivity up to 100Gbps across the UK. Late last year LIVEQUOTE underwent a multi-million-pound upgrade, bringing more simplicity, convenience and choice for UK businesses looking to acquire a connectivity solution.

Mark Charlesworth, Product Director, at Neos Networks stated: “We are delighted to unveil Ethernet over FTTx as our first product launch from our new brand Neos Networks. The launch signifies our commitment to bringing best in class connectivity solutions to UK organisations as their business requirements evolve.

Hybrid Ethernet solutions like EoFTTx enable more organisations to access high quality business connectivity services. This, in turn, will help support the UK’s drive for greater fibre connectivity.”

Simon Willmott, Director of Wholesale Business Development, at Neos Networks said: “Neos Networks provides high quality, cost-effective, business-grade services to the market. When our customers asked us to provide sub 1Gbps connectivity, we knew we needed to deliver a solution that would not just be fit for purpose, but was also developed to a high standard and remained cost-effective.

Ethernet over FTTx is an extremely exciting addition to our expanding product portfolio and will further support the diverse demands of our customers. It’s launch comes at a time where our network expansion programme is allowing us to reach and support more businesses across the UK than ever before, really helping us to support the nation’s digital ambitions. By enabling the connectivity ambitions of our customers today, we are helping to futureproof the UK business economy of tomorrow.”
