WiFi is set to play a huge role in IoT, Chris Penrose tells Guy Daniels. The skill is in making it work with other connectivity technologies that emerge. Different networks are bound to suit different conditions and applications according to factors such whether a ‘thing’ is moving or static; whether it has access to power and so on. The main thing is to shield the customer from the connectivity complexity.
