Panel Discussion

During MWC24, Deutsche Telekom hosted two panel discussions moderated by TelecomTV editorial director Ray Le Maistre that focused on Open RAN certification requirements and activities. The initial panel, which looked at the importance of certification to network operators, featured Adam Loddeke, AVP of RAN technology at AT&T, Francisco (Paco) Martin, head of Open RAN at Vodafone Group, Franz Seiser, executive tribe lead of radio access disaggregation at Deutsche Telekom, and Kristian Toivo, executive director at the Telecom Infra Project (TIP).

The second panel, which examined how certification processes work and the activity already underway at the i14y Lab in Berlin, featured Arda Akman, senior director of software engineering at Juniper Networks, Jonas Charaf, senior Open RAN technical lead at CapGemini Engineering, Andreas Gladisch, group technology executive at Deutsche Telekom, representing i14y Lab, and Ian Wong, director of RF and wireless at Viavi Solutions and co-chair of the Test and Integration Focus Group at the O-RAN Alliance.
