Open Platform for NFV (OPNFV) is hosted by the Linux Foundation as an open source project, and as such is based on meritocracy, contributions, membership and support from developers. Its aim is to integrate a wider number of NFV projects, to enable the technology to reach wide scale network deployment. In September, 35 members, including telcos and cloud providers – both established players and new market entrants – joined the OPNFV and membership is growing all the time.
