Orange started its SDN and NFV journey using many open source solutions, and the first VNFs are already deployed across different affiliates. Based on first deployments, Orange identified key topics to be solved and believes open source projects such as ONAP may solve the major integration pain-points. However, the telecoms ecosystem still suffers from a global skills shortage.
