While some industry observers say the full-scale commercial deployment of NFV could take up to ten years to happen, Orange expects to have be providing NFV-enabled B2B services in France and elsewhere by the end of this year. Stephane Litkowski says that Orange customers are demanding such services now and it is incumbent on the carrier to meet those expectations. Elsewhere, he thinks that proliferation of NFV ecosystems is making the introduction of NFV unnecessarily complicated and difficult.
