The challenge for CSPs so far in addressing the network edge has been the connectivity and the need to work with the right partners and SDN vendors. But how do they take it to the next level? How do CSPs start developing the security functions, so that enterprise customers can ensure the best possible security at the network edge? Intel has been involved in a number of relevant open source projects, from DPDK to FDio, adding open source ingredients to solutions and providing its partners with a range of scalable platforms that can be adopted to their specific needs, recognising the fact that enterprises will have different deployment models, depending on what branches or what different offices they have throughout the world.
