Orange focuses on mobile security and user experience as it launches its widest range of Orange LTE smartphones for Europe

Orange smartphones for every need – from first time users to consumers after the highest level of performance

The success of its own-brand range of smartphones continues to grow as Orange today launches four new 4G smartphones in Europe. Its widest range of 4G devices launched to date – these four smartphones will ensure every segment of the market is catered for – from first time 4G users to consumers after a high end performance. The Orange Dive 30, Dive 50, Dive 70 and Nura 2 are all CAT 4 LTE handsets designed to provide customers with an optimal 4G smartphone experience, without compromising on quality or experience, and give customers a wider and smarter choice of devices to choose from. Sales of Orange’s own range of smartphones grew by 48% in Europe between 2013 and 2014. In the last quarter of 2014 alone, sales of Orange branded smartphones accounted for over 31% growth compared to total smartphone sales growth of only 0.6% in the same period.

Orange Dive 70 – a first for Europe with an embedded password and file security vault and a contextual, intelligent homescreen

Orange has embarked on two new partnerships with the Orange Dive 70 to offer its customers enhanced mobile security and a new live, intelligent homescreen experience that surfaces information at the moment it’s useful. Launching first in France on the 16th of September, before rolling out in Slovakia and Romania and to other European markets, Orange is the only operator to partner with Keeper Security and Yahoo in such a way. The Dive 70 will be a smartphone on which Orange will partner with Keeper Security (www.keepersecurity.com) to offer Keeper’s secure password and digital vault manager. Keeper’s security platform only allows customers to have access to their own stored data, putting customers firmly in the driving seat of their content. On set-up, Orange customers will be able to try the Keeper service for free for 30 days. In a special promotion that will only be available to Orange for a year, customers will also be exclusively offered a 50% discount to upgrade to Keeper’s premium security solution for a year. Orange is also partnering with Yahoo for the first time to integrate Aviate, their intelligent homescreen, into the Dive 70. Aviate with Orange will allow customers to simplify their phone, automatically organising the customer’s apps and showing them useful information based on what the customer is doing or where they are, all without the customer having to leave their homescreen. This new contextual solution enables Orange customers to connect faster to the people, services and content that they want.. The slim-line Orange Dive 70 has a 5” (720 x 1280 pixels) HD screen, measuring 143.6 x 8.3 x 72.1mm and only weighs 160gr. With a Qualcomm 1.1GHz quad-core chipset, it runs Android Lollipop 5.1 with an 8 megapixel rear camera (2 megapixel front camera), 1GB RAM, 8GB memory and Micro SD slot. The 2200 mAh Li-Ion battery provides up to 10hrs voice or up to 300hrs on standby* .

Orange Nura 2 – Outstanding battery life for high end smartphone performance

Launching End September in France and measuring 152.4 x 7.9 x 75mm weighing 150gr, the Orange Nura 2 succeeds the original Nura as the smartphone designed for consumers who want a large Full HD screen and amazing battery life. The Nura 2 comes with a 3500mAh battery that provides an estimated up to 14.6hrs of voice or up to 700hrs standby time*. This is the second time Orange has embarked on a joint development with the operator China Mobile - the Nura 2 is Orange’s thinnest smartphone at 7.9m with a 5.5” screen running Android Lollipop 5.0 on Qualcomm’s octo-core 64 bits chipset (4 x 1.5 GHz + 4 x 1.0GHz). The Nura 2 is equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera (5 megapixel front camera), 2GB RAM, 16GB memory and MicroSD slot of a maximum of 32 GB.

Orange Dive 30, Dive 50– Speed and affordability with no compromises

Designed with new 4G smartphone users in mind, the Orange Dive 30 and Dive 50 delivers superfast 4G with optimal speeds of up to 150Mbps theoretical peak throughput so first-time users can experience sharing high-res images, streaming video. Available in France since August and to be launched by Poland and Romania soon, with a 4” screen (480 x 800 pixels), the Orange Dive 30 uses MediaTek’s quad-core 1.0GHz processor running Android Lollipop 5.1 and has a 5 megapixel rear camera (0.3 megapixel front camera), 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage and MicroSD slot of a maximum of 32 GB. Weighing only 115gr and measuring 125 x 10.2 x 64mm, the Dive 30 runs off a 1600mAh battery for up to 7hrs voice or up to 360hrs on standby* . Orange will also be ranging the Orange Dive 50 from November in several European markets a 4.5” variant of the Dive 30. It uses MediaTek’s quad-core 1.0GHz processor running Android Lollipop 5.1 and has an 5 megapixel rear camera (0.3 megapixel front camera), 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage and MicroSD slot of a maximum of 32 GB. Weighing 146gr and measuring 132.2 x 9.95 x 65.1mm, the 1780mAh battery provides up to 8hrs voice and up to 410hrs standby time* .

Orange Experience 7 – fuss-free set up and unique Orange services

Orange’s software suite has been updated to make it even easier for customers to get the most out of their Orange smartphones. The latest updates include: • New Orange wallpapers, material designs and themes • Improved and personalised start-up programme for new smartphone users, offering customers with a choice of ‘easy’ or ‘standard’ modes and Orange Assistant • Orange Gestures – a unique to Orange sign-based app that lets customers draw their own gesture to assign to their favourite contacts, apps or services
