CSPs gain incremental 1Gbps+ data rates from existing networking technology with 4.5G, 4.9G and 5G software enhancements that support 5G radio rollouts

LOUIS - July 16, 2018 - Amdocs (NASDAQ: DOX), a leading provider of software and services to communications and media companies, today announced its comprehensive support for 5G rollouts supporting a wide range of acceptance and optimization tools to ensure communication service providers (CSPs) can select “best in breed” equipment partners for their 4.5G, 4.9G and 5G rollouts.  These latest technology features are available in the Actix Analyzer and ActixOne platforms as part of the LTE-Advanced-Pro and 5G technology offerings.

Actix Analyzer and ActixOne now support 5G New Radio network rollout capabilities and are based on AmdocsONE architecture, which offers service acceleration capabilities as part of network virtualisation roll-out. Actix Analyzer and ActixOne have also been enhanced to support the optimization and network troubleshooting of 5G New Radio enabling mobile operators to independently verify the performance, enforcing KPIs, with full insight and control over the rollout process of 5G.

Amdocs’ Open Network portfolio is being used across the globe to optimize ‘4.9G’ technology features such as large-scale carrier aggregation, massive multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) and high rate modulation coding schemes. Amdocs Open Network is ideally positioned to offer “best in breed” multi-vendor tool chain support for 5G rollouts that includes mmWave technology, beamforming, massive carrier aggregation and new 3GPP Rel.15 signaling.
