Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi Delivers Simpler Wi-Fi Network Management Together with Enhanced End-user Experience and Lower TCO

Ruckus Networks, an ARRIS company, today announced the European market availability of Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi, a cloud-managed Wi-Fi solution that lets network administrators manage any number of locations through a single web- or mobile app-based dashboard. Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi is designed to help “lean IT” teams at schools, retail and small-and-medium businesses (SMBs) reduce the time spent managing a multi-site network, while ensuring a first-class connection experience for students, guests and customers. Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi lets organizations lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) compared to competitive alternatives by combining cloud efficiency with high-performance access points (APs) that serve more users over wider areas.

As the number of connected devices grows and operations become more ‘digitised,’ organisations are recognising the need for highly-reliable Wi-Fi connectivity that can be easily managed and scaled with minimal effort. This meets the need of retail organizations such as restaurant chains that want to engage with connected guests, and support wireless point-of-sale devices, while providing the great Wi-Fi experience that customers expect.

“Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi is easy to deploy, use and manage,” said Fabian Wehnert, head of digital and IT, Apeiron gmbh, a restaurant chain in Germany. “On top of that, it provides our staff and guests with outstanding Wi-Fi, which has allowed us to take our business to the next level.”

Schools are looking at ways to reliably deliver online curriculum and assessments to hundreds or even thousands of students across a dispersed campus. However, they often lack the IT resources to support students and faculty in complex environments.

“We were looking for a way to easily and reliably deliver a technology-enhanced curriculum to our 600 students, but we also needed a solution that would be able to support our Future Classroom vision,” said Gerd Theunis, head of administration at WICO Sint Hubertus School in Neerpelt, Belgium. “We found Ruckus to be a great partner for deploying a flawless Wi-Fi network.”

Designed for both simplicity and ease of scaling, Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi allows businesses of any size to easily deploy and remotely manage Wi-Fi networks across multiple sites regardless of geographic separation. With a single interface to create new Wi-Fi networks, add access points, and monitor network performance and activity, Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi lets administrators manage from anywhere using an intuitive, web-based interface or while on-the-move using the Ruckus Cloud mobile app.

“We’re opening up a wealth of business improvement and customer engagement possibilities for SMBs while giving schools the tools to the ability to more easily deliver and support digital learning initiatives,” said Steve Johnson, director of EMEA sales, Ruckus Networks. “Using the same enterprise-grade technology present in all our installations, we’re giving customers access to a combination of simplicity and performance that simply wasn’t there before.”
