Welcome to episode 6 of TelecomTV’s Top Ten Mobile Moments, where we are taking a retrospective look back at our twenty years of supporting MWC and its 3GSM predecessor.

The potential of mobile data was recognised early, and a lot was riding on the successful launch of 3G. More so, even, than for 5G today. We also have to remember that many of the early attempts at launching mobile data services were through so-called walled gardens, controlled by the operators. Something else that has to be there is the actual services and applications. But for mobile apps, you need developers.
