The hype cycle may be in full swing but we're now approaching the plateau of productivity, Sanjay tells Martyn Warwick. Yes, the area is still forming but just making sure that devices can connect is, in and of itself, really useful. Things like robotic arms can be monitored so that remote diagnostic and servicing is done cost-effectively to provide a real pay-off. Meanwhile other companies are moving from product selling to selling product as a service.
