NFV is a journey that could take as long as ten years, but in these first two years the main players in the supply chain have already likely emerged. But the big question is how will telcos buy NFV? Will they buy and build NFV infrastructure independently of the virtualised network functions, or will they revert to a more service-orientated approach and partner with a single vendor?
