Agility is the name of the game for telcos. SDN and virtualisation enables telcos to respond with more agility, spin up more storage, servers and network capability more quickly. But the OTT competitors have been using these techniques for some time, so telcos have a steep learning curve to make their infrastructures more software-driven.
