Panel Discussion

The OpenStack community now encompasses 90,000 people in 180 countries. OpenStack promises the scale to bring open infrastructure to new markets and new parts of the telecoms network but where is it being used now by telcos? How does OpenStack fit into the end-to-end ETSI NFV compliance that telcos need and as the transformation of the Telco Cloud continues with NFVi, how can we enable the necessary low latency, high performance OpenStack platform for telco NFV applications? As telcos start to deploy 5G, OpenStack can also play a role in network slicing. Why is the move to open networking important to telcos, why are they actively supporting open source projects and how will this change the telecoms ecosystem in the coming years?
