At the recent Fyuz event in Madrid, Vodafone Group fellow and network architecture director Yago Tenorio, and Sadayuki Abeta, global head of Open RAN solutions at NTT Docomo, explained why they are linking their labs in the UK and Japan as part of a collaboration that aims to develop a uniform approach to testing, and explored other integration processes linked to network operator Open RAN efforts. The duo also discussed ongoing integration and budgeting challenges, Open RAN scepticism, and the link between Open RAN and innovation.
