Gibtelecom chooses Cerillion for CRM and Billing Transformation

Feb 12, 2013

Gibtelecom embarked on this major computerisation project that will lead to the replacement of the Company’s current integrated customer management system, in 2011. This system holds all customer records and handles over two million real time communications transactions a week. It is also critical to the business as it manages all customers’ services accounts and monthly billing. In addition the system holds all the records of the layout of Gibtelecom’s cable network, stretching to thousands of kilometres, and the related infrastructure located around the Rock. The system, which became operational in 1999, is now dated and in need of being replaced.

Cerillion is providing a turnkey solution based on the Revenue Manager, CRM Plus, Service Manager, Web Self-Care, Output Streamer and Information Manager modules from its pre-integrated product suite, as well as performing migration from Gibtelecom’s legacy system. The new solution will enable Gibtelecom to manage its triple-play portfolio through a single, unified user interface, allowing rapid rollout of new products and packages across both the consumer and enterprise customer segments.

“Having thoroughly evaluated the market which included going through an EU tender process, it was the product breadth and flexibility of the Cerillion system that stood out, making it the ideal solution to meet the complex requirements of an expanding communications business, such as Gibtelecom,” said George Gaskin, Gibtelecom’s IT Manager. “Furthermore, Cerillion’s convergent product catalogue, combined with a flexible charging and discounting engine, should allow us to quickly introduce innovative new service bundles.”

“As Gibtelecom grows and diversifies, we need to continue to invest in state of the art infrastructure to serve our customers. Cerillion’s track record of delivering multi-service convergent solutions made them the natural choice to partner the Company,” added Tim Bristow, CEO, Gibtelecom.

“We are delighted to be working with Gibtelecom on this important transformation project,” commented Louis Hall, CEO, Cerillion Technologies. “Gibtelecom offers a broad array of communications services, both in Gibraltar and now internationally, and we look forward to a long term partnership as we assist Gibtelecom with the achievement of its long-term business goals.”
