VMware provides telco customers with solutions extending from the cloud to the core at to the network edge. Utilizing its enterprise networking expertise, and incorporating SD-WAN technology from its VeloCloud acquisition with its existing NFV solution portfolio, VMware is providing multiple-technology network services in partnership with AT&T. SD-WAN allows AT&T to extend its enterprise customers' networks to more locations using various types of access, pushing out to all endpoints, by creating a virtual edge called Flexware.
