Prakash Kartha, Segment Director, Edge Services, Intel

“We don’t believe the edge is 'in spite' of the cloud, we believe it’s ‘with’ the cloud,” says Prakash Kartha. He says Intel believes that already successful applications can be delivered from an edge platform with much better latency and overall performance. Open source, he says, offers optimized frameworks that the whole ecosystem can gather around to both collaborate and compete. Prakash explains the place of Intel’s Network Builders Program in the march to the edge and Intel’s approach to cloud openness.
