Customers are expecting to access their content anywhere, anytime, on any device. At the same time, the expectations towards quality of experience are growing as well. For Swisscom, this leads to an increase in the number of platforms to manage with less time to integrate and a growing number of formats to support. The telco needed to decrease its investment in time to manage and cost of the production and distribution of our services.
Rather than a problem, Swisscom saw this challenge as an opportunity to get out ahead of other CSPs to produce and deliver its TV channels on a virtualised and automated platform. It partnered with HPE because it was confident its partner would deliver the highest quality technological solution that would meet its specific needs without locking it into proprietary software.
