BT Launches new nine-month student broadband packages

With unlimited download limits and BT Wi-fi access plus free BT Sport online

BT has launched three new student broadband packages specially tailored for the millions of students living in shared households across the UK.

The three new BT student broadband deals are:

1.BT Unlimited Broadband for just £12.50 a month on a 9 month contract (plus line rental*), giving speeds of up to 17Mb and totally unlimited download usage.

  • BT Unlimited Infinity 2 for just £22.50 a month on a 9 month contract (plus line rental), providing superfast fibre broadband with speeds of up to 76Mb, totally unlimited download usage and free activation.
  • BT Unlimited Infinity 2 and BT TV Entertainment Plus for just £33 a month on a 12 month contract (plus £line rental). This package includes superfast broadband with speeds of up to 76Mb, totally unlimited download usage, unlimited weekend calls, a YouView+ set top box and free activation. BT TV Entertainment Plus gives you the option to add BT Sport Pack for free, featuring 38 Barclays Premier League games and every game of the UEFA Champions League, over 80 Freeview channels, 25 Premium Channels, catch up TV and TV Everywhere so you never miss your favourite programs. The BT SmartTalk app[[1] is also included within this deal, to help customers save money on smartphone calls, whether in the UK or abroad. With the app, customers are not charged for calls that are part of their home calling plan, such as 01, 02, 03, 0845 and 0870 numbers.

A BT Home Hub, with smart dual-band technology giving fast and reliable wireless connections and access to unlimited BT Wi-fi, is included in each deal.

Students who opt for the BT Broadband-only packages will be able to enjoy the BT Sport Lite app, streaming great action to their smartphones or tablets, or to their PCs or Macs using the online player. Students who opt for BT TV and Broadband will be able to enjoy full access to the BT Sport Pack on their Youview+ box or by using the online player, as well as on the BT Sport app.

David McDonald, director of Broadband, BT Consumer, said: “Our student broadband offers last year were incredibly popular. Building on the feedback we had, we’ve put together some really great superfast BT Infinity and BT Broadband deals this year including an option with BT TV and BT Sport. They’re fantastic value for money and they all come with a BT Home Hub, free BT Sport online or with the app, BT Wi-fi at more than five million UK hotspots and online storage with BT Cloud. And unlike some companies, we never throttle your broadband speed to slow you down.”
