Sanjay Bhatia, VP, Solutions Marketing & Strategy, GENBAND

For service providers the supreme measure of capability and success is the performance of the network. And now, even as network transformation takes place, the amounts of data traffic crossing the network continue to rise at close to exponential rates and pressure on service providers to maintain SLA's and QoSat all times is immense. The dependencies among systems and network elements are becoming increasingly complex and the localisation of root causes of performance problems is an ever more challenging task. That's why CSPs are looking for intelligent network analysis solutions that do more than simply collect masses of data. They need tools that can deliver detailed insights into the state of their network assets. As Sanjay Bhatia explains, that means end-to-end analysis and the ability accurately and immediately to measure key performance metrics across all network elements whilst, simultaneously, ensuring that SLAs are met and QoS is guaranteed. That's a big ask - and it's where NFV helps.
