Enrico Salvatori, Senior Vice President and President Qualcomm Europe

Enrico Salvatori, tells Guy Daniels that having an R&D facility in Europe is very important for Qualcomm since it makes its contribution to the European market tangible. Enrico says the continent's multiple 2019 5G launches make it part of the leading pack when it comes to 5G, with more than 20 devices on the market already.
What's the most important marker for 5G progress? Coverage. South Korea, he points out, has good coverage and as a result has more than 2 million subscribers already.
Enrico says full ownership of its TDK joint venture, RF360, is an important milestone for Qualcomm, allowing it to deliver a full 5G platform for its customers. This is very important given the complexity of 5G.
