Bruce McClelland, President and CEO, Ribbon Communications

Ribbon Communications delivers global software and network solutions to service providers, enterprises and critical infrastructure sectors. CEO Bruce McClelland explains how the company was formed through the merger of Genband and Sonus, and provides an update on the merger with ECI Telecom, which expands the company’s focus beyond just voice over IP technology into the world of data communications. Ribbon provides the high-speed fibre-optic connectivity and high-performance switching and routing fabric that sits on top of the fibre network that is supporting the ongoing growth in network traffic, and resulting in increased investment in the capacity and the infrastructure for broadband networks. It sees the move to “work from home” and the adoption of unified communications and collaboration platforms accelerating for the next five years, and Ribbon will continue to provide the technology to connect the traditional PSTN network into these collaboration platforms.
