The first meeting of software integration of the SELFNET (Self-Organized Network Management in Virtualized and Software Defined Networks) project, funded by the European Union (H2020 program), was held at the Telecommunication Institute of the University of Aveiro from the 26th to 28th June.

The aim of this meeting was to start the integration of the various software components that are part of the prototype of the project to be presented to the European Commission in September.

This first prototype relies on a Self-Protection use case, more specifically, on the proactive detection and mitigation of cyber attacks in 5G environments, taking advantage of autonomic / cognitive network management features.
