  • Deutsche Telekom is opening the next chapter in the success story of MagentaEINS at IFA
  • EINS goes front and center of the brand experience
  • Sustainable product information – near-field technology makes it possible

During IFA, the leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances, in Berlin (September 2 to 7), Deutsche Telekom is putting everything on EINS. On its 2,500 square meter exhibition space in Hall 21A and the adjoining outdoor area, Europe’s leading telecommunications provider is showcasing a huge range of new offers, trends and developments in the MagentaEINS product world. The company’s atmospheric centerpiece under the motto “Besser die EINS. MagentaEINS” (Go with the ONE. MagentaONE) underscores the importance of optimum network quality and digitization.

The design concept for this year’s fair revolves around the number one (EINS in German) in the form of a 7.5 meter high sculpture, a dynamically shaped roof consisting of hundreds of ones and an eye-catching media installation. Together, they invite visitors to venture into specially designed experience hubs, where they are treated to an interactive introduction to the numerous options that MagentaEINS offers, including MagentaENTERTAINMENT, MagentaZuhause, MagentaMobil, MagentaSERVICE, and MagentaSmartHome. This digital course gives visitors the opportunity to take a virtual tour through the Magenta product worlds and experience them in a whole new way.

“As a digital lifestyle brand and a driver for the Gigabit society, we want to engage with visitors to the trade show, inspire them and entertain them. To do that, we decided to integrate exciting technologies such as virtual reality and near field into our communications,” explains Antje Hundhausen, Vice President 3D Brand Experience. “MagentaEINS is very much the focal point, in terms of both design and content. The brand experience that Deutsche Telekom is providing at IFA again emphasizes our strategic alignment.”

Visitors can look forward to a dynamic and interactive infotainment program at the central stage, where product highlights from the Magenta portfolio are being interspersed with trend and lifestyle topics. Inspired by Telekom Fashion Fusion, the latest gadgets won’t just be presented by speakers, but will also be shown off in fine style in the smart-fashion show. Special highlights of the program include the chance to meet players from soccer team FC Bayern Munich and win tickets to the Street Gig on September 6, where the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing.

The entertainment continues outdoors in the Digital Playground, where visitors can test their basketball and ice hockey skills – two sports that are regularly screened on EntertainTV. The EntertainTV sports bar, meanwhile, is the ideal place to unwind with some refreshments, watch some sport, and marvel at Entertain quality.

Back indoors, Deutsche Telekom is exhibiting the new Magenta merchandise collection for the first time in a pop-up store at the stand. Visitors can order their favorite Magenta-branded gifts direct from the online store at www.lovemagenta.com shortly.

Even people who can’t make it to IFA in person still have an opportunity to explore the Telekom trade fair stand in Berlin. BEAM robots will give passers-by at two hot spots in the city – the Sony Center and the Mall of Berlin – the chance to delve into the hustle and bustle of the fair via video call.

Visit Deutsche Telekom’s stand in Hall 21a at the IFA trade show in Berlin from September 2 – 7 for a live experience of our products and services. Deutsche Telekom’s entire involvement in the trade fair is carbon-neutral. All CO2 emissions generated in setting up and operating the stand are offset fully by carbon-reduction projects outside Germany.
