HP offers device as a service certification to partners worldwide

New training to expand partner expertise

PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 12, 2016 — HP Inc. today announced a new partner training that certifies partners to help their customers evaluate and launch HP Device as a Service (DaaS) across their businesses.

HP Device as a Service was launched earlier this summer, bundling computing systems and services under a single contract with no up-front costs. The service gives customers access to the latest HP technology while enhancing device management and security.

The DaaS training – or specialization –within HP’s Partner First program is designed to help partners grow their businesses, extend their reach to new customers and provide new, innovative solutions that align to market trends over the next year. Starting in November, partners who become a DaaS Specialist can access exclusive HP Partner First benefits tied to the offering, including robust sales tools, in-depth reporting and analytics solutions, flexible financing, sales and marketing support and a strong partner compensation model.

“Device as a Service offers partners an enormous opportunity to get in front of an emerging trend, one that we believe is the future of IT business deployment,” said Bill Avey, general manager & global head, PS Services, HP. DaaS allows our partners to deepen or develop the expertise to tap this trend for business growth while helping their customers ease the stress and expense tied to fleet management.”

HP worked with partners across the globe to determine what insights, tools and support they needed to successfully illustrate the value of DaaS and deploy the solution on behalf of customers. This partner feedback went into the development of the specialization.

“With DaaS, we can better serve customers who want to tap innovative tech, but don’t have the funding to do so,” said Henry Fleches, CEO, United Data Technologies. “Our customers quickly saw the value of DaaS in ensuring access to the latest technology and delegating IT management to a trusted partner.”

HP DaaS Pricing and Availability for HP Partners

HP Device as a Service is currently available to qualified channel partners and is expected to roll out more broadly via HP Inc.’s Partner First Program beginning November 1.

For those enrolled in the program, HP Financial Services (HPFS) gives partners the ability to deliver their customers unique DaaS solution bundles with the ease of a single monthly payment.1 HPFS can help partners achieve speed, ease, and maximum value – with quick quotes and upfront payment right away, and support to manage monthly payments and device remarketing throughout the contract term.
