Dell Services Named Founding Health Care IT Partner for The Innovation Institute

Introducing pilot programs to focus on the use of cloud-enabled analytics, Internet of Things (IoT) and patient engagement

The Innovation Institute announced that Dell Services has agreed to become the founding healthcare information technology partner of the institute’s Innovation Lab in Newport Beach, Calif.

The Innovation Institute, world-class corporate health-care incubator, is structured to facilitate innovation among inventors, health care plan providers, medical facilities, physicians and employees across major health care organizations. Through its Innovation Lab, medical product and solution ideas are vetted and the best ones are developed further and introduced into the healthcare marketplace.

Dell will leverage The Innovation Institute to look at new solutions and ideas, facilitate pilot programs and gain access to clinical expertise via The Institute’s team of world-class experts. The two organizations will work together to create new use cases and solutions with the goal of improving outcomes for the health care marketplace.

Dell plans to engage with The Innovation Institute in a number of pilot programs including:

  • Cloud-enabled analytics and how to turn healthcare data into actionable knowledge and insights for better decision-making
  • Patient engagement to better connect and deepen relationships with patients; and
  • Dell Internet of Things (IoT) to bring the power of analytics to the edge of the network, reducing the time and cost associated with transferring non-essential data to the cloud
