Sprint enhances South Africa network capabilities through Johannesburg, South Africa PoP with CMC Networks

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. , June 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Sprint (NYSE: S) announced the opening of a Johannesburg, South Africa Point of Presence (PoP), further adding to Sprint’s extensive global Wireline backbone network. Sprint’s existing relationship with CMC Networks, a Pan Africa provider, has been extended to incorporate the operation of the Johannesburg PoP to enhance Sprint’s global Tier 1 network, which serves multinational business and carrier customers in 195 countries around the world.

With this new PoP Sprint will provide an enhanced experience to customers in South Africa and surrounding countries.
