Tony Poulos, TelecomTV (00:07):
Tony Poulos here for TelecomTV at MWC 2026 in Barcelona. With me today is Julien Dahan, who is the CEO of 6WIND. Julien, welcome. Telecom networks are under pressure from cloud-native architectures and AI-driven workloads. We're hearing that everywhere at this event. But how is 6WIND redefining cloud networking to help operators modernise their infrastructure without sacrificing performance or their operational simplicity?
Julien Dahan, 6WIND (00:37):
Cloud networking is becoming the foundation of the modern digital infrastructure for telcos, cloud providers, and now AI data centres. At 6WIND, we moved the high-performance networking into software, into cloud stacks itself. Okay? That means that operators can now deploy routing, security, and AI data centres as standard cloud-native components on infrastructure with automation, using Kubernetes-native operations without giving up on performance, which is very important.
Tony Poulos, TelecomTV (01:35):
High-performance networking is often seen as a trade-off against cloud-native flexibility, as you touched on, but how does 6WIND bridge that gap to deliver line-rate performance in virtualised and containerised environments at scale?
Julien Dahan, 6WIND (01:50):
So the trade-off between performance and cloud-native flexibility is no longer the case. At 6WIND, we deliver line-rate performance to help operators scale their infrastructure networking and use their cloud infrastructure with the same performance without losing the flexibility that they are used to having with other networks.
Tony Poulos, TelecomTV (02:26):
And how are you doing that?
Julien Dahan, 6WIND (02:28):
What we do is that we are delivering our networking only in software, on the cloud, which is giving a lot of flexibility to the operators in order to use their Kubernetes to automate, to orchestrate their network without having any trade-off with their performance.
Tony Poulos, TelecomTV (02:49):
AI data centres are putting unprecedented pressure on network fabrics, but how does your collaboration with NVIDIA help service providers and enterprises build cloud networking foundations that are ready for AI and those high-performance workloads?
Julien Dahan, 6WIND (03:05):
AI workloads are really changing the game in the network requirements. So definitely our collaboration with NVIDIA, it's extremely important for us because this is helping us together by combining their BlueField DPUs with our high-performance network software. We are able to deliver to our customers very scalable, efficient, and very low-latency cloud networking solutions to meet their needs for their AI data centres. I think what is important in conclusion is really to understand that 6WIND today is not just making announcements. We have big tier ones worldwide using us to solve this issue with performance on the cloud and how to automate everything on their new cloud services, as we know that every telco, every cloud provider is moving to cloud services. And this is where our leadership in this space is helping us to be successful all around the world with all the big telcos in the world.
Tony Poulos, TelecomTV (04:19):
Julien, it's been a pleasure being with you today. Thank you so much.
