Radisys is helping mobile operators solve the complex challenges of next-generation networks, supporting virtualisation across all of its product lines. It believes that small cells are key to the use of LTE over unlicensed spectrum, together with carrier aggregation to combine spectrum with macrocells based in licensed spectrum. Small cells with self-organising network capabilities will also be critical for operators' strategies to deploy HetNets as they build out their networks.
