Shades of Openness: Open Source standards and APIs create the reference platform

Open is about de facto standards, Glenn tells Guy Daniels. The value is that this gives the platform owner 'future-proofing' because you know you're always going to be using those open source standards going forward; and secondly, adherence to the APIs defined by ETSI. These two things are the key cornerstones he says.
