Mikko Hyppönen, CRO, F-Secure Corporation

The globally renowned Finnish security guru says that thanks to the "Open" concept and the use of Linux, the most common operating system on earth, together with the Open movement's determination to be transparent and collaborative, Opensource is now fully ready for business. He supports OPNFV and says it makes a great deal of sense adaptable open source code to be used in a crucial parts of global networks, adding that there is no point in believing in vendors claims about their 'magic' black boxes because you never know what is inside. he adds the caveat that open source has inherent vulnerabilities and is not perfect there is now sufficient funding and resources available to ensure that open siurce projects are as secure as they can be. He warns that IoT and 5G will never be secure, but they might be "somewhat" secure - and that's all we can expect with our current technologies and abilities
