ZTE Showcases Slice+ Network Solution at MPLS+SDN+NFV World Congress 2019

17 April 201 9 , Shenzhen, China - ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced that it has showcased Slice+ network solution at MPLS+SDN+NFV World Congress Paris 2019.

Mr. Greg Mirsky, Senior Pre-Research and Standardization Expert of ZTE has introduced Slice+ network solution in a speech titled “A New Control Plane for Transport Network Slicing”. In order to address the limitations and difficulties of existing transport network slicing solutions, ZTE has introduced Slice+ network solution with a simplified control plane, as well as the related standard proposals.

In his speech, Greg Mirsky elaborated ZTE’s Slice+ network solution, which can implement fast deployment of network slices, elastic resource allocation, software or hardware separation of slices, and flexible service scheduling. Besides, this solution can relieve the stress of the slices on the transport equipment while supporting the end-to-end cross-domain deployment of slices.

In addition, in Telemetry Session, Greg Mirsky introduced the classification of telemetry data and telemetry protocols, illustrated the challenges of telemetry data collection and transport as well as the solutions to address these challenges.

By virtue of the speeches and further in-depth communication with attending experts, ZTE has played an active role in promoting the standardization and application of 5G transport technologies. As the world's top IP industry event, MPLS+SDN+NFV World Congress 2019 has involved over 1,600 industry insiders from global operators and enterprises to share industry trends and latest research results, covering SDN, NFV, 5G, SD-WAN and so on.
