Michael Strople, Chairman, MEF, and President, Zayo Managed Services

Michael Strople discusses the MEF’s role in driving industry transformation with agile, assured, and orchestrated services. He notes that MEF is a member-driven organisation, and the Third Network vision has been developed based on the needs of members that include more than 210 service provider and technology vendor companies. Mike highlights the importance of LSO (Lifecycle Service Orchestration) open API work, open networking, and industry collaboration. So what makes MEF a key player in driving innovation? As Mike explains, “MEF is much more than a standards group. People ask me if MEF is a standards body. We issue specifications. That’s true. That’s an important part of what we do. But we do so much more than that. I like to say that MEF is a collaboration platform, and MEF is where ideas get traction.”
