ABI Research Hires Dr. Mo Haghighi to Strengthen Leadership Position in IoT Market Intelligence

Via ABI Research Media Releases

Sep 8, 2015

Oyster Bay, New York - 08 Sep 2015

ABI Research announces that Dr. Mo Haghighi has joined the company in the position of Senior Analyst focusing on IoT and IoE semiconductors. After a significant tenure in the research community focusing on sensors and sensor networking he joins ABI Research’s Strategic Technologies Group under the leadership of Dr. Malik Saadi.

“The arrival of Dr. Haghighi demonstrates our commitment to further extend and improve what is already the most experienced and largest stable of dedicated analysts covering IoE and IoT. His highly relevant experience in this nascent market dovetails nicely with our research agenda that continues to drive deeper into end user markets,” said Stuart Carlaw, ABI Research Chief Research Officer.

Before joining ABI Research, Dr Haghighi was a research assistant in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bristol. Whilst being involved in the SPHERE project (in collaboration with IBM and TOSHIBA), his research involved developing wearable and environmental sensors as well as integrating optimization algorithms, in order to facilitate energy-efficient operation and optimal data gathering in sensor-based healthcare technologies. He also worked as a postdoctoral research assistant in Wireless Sensor Networks Forensics within the Network Security group, where he investigated security-related issues in large-scale sensor networks, IoT, and cloud-based data-gathering as part of a European project: FORTOO (FORensic TOOls).
