Lynn A Comp, Vice President, Data Center Group, General Manager, Visual Cloud Division, Intel Corporation

Intel is focusing on its ‘Visual Cloud’ as a solution to help transform the media industry. Lynn explains that Visual Cloud is very diverse and many of its workloads are complicated enough or serial enough to require a different kind of architecture. “The important thing about Visual cloud is that it’s processed on cloud architectures, it goes over a network and then it’s consumed remotely, so you have to think of an ‘end-to-end’ system design,” she tells Guy Daniels. “It’s not just a one answer, ‘we have the hammer, let’s go find the nails’ approach. We want to develop a heterogeneous project.”
