Ken Dilbeck, VP of Collaboration and R&D, TM Forum

The MEF is collaborating with a number of organisations to further the creation of the new networking models. One of these partners, the TM Forum, is working on activity around information modes, looking at how the industry can create a situation where its various information models aren't as fragmented as they are today. It says there is a very real industry requirement to address these problems. Hence the TM Forum's Zoom (zero touch operations orchestration management system), which looks at how can we introduce SDN and the virtualised environment, whilst maintaining best quality for customers. This, in turn, has led to the creation of its Operation Centre of the Future strategic vision.
