Panel Discussion
Software-defined vehicles promise continuous feature upgrades and new revenue models, but the business case collapses when services cannot be delivered consistently across markets. Most original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) deploy connected vehicle services in roughly 50 first-tier countries, while SDV product ambitions target 140-plus markets. Fragmented connectivity models, eSIM lifecycle complexity, compliance requirements and uneven regulatory environments create a globalisation gap that turns one SDV vision into dozens of incompatible implementations.
