Qvantel and Nokia Strengthen Partnership and Unify Cloud Infrastructure
Helsinki – Qvantel, a leader in Digital BSS, today announced that they have signed an agreement with Nokia who will resell Qvantel Flex BSS alongside their own Cloud and Network Services business applications. Qvantel and Nokia are long-term partners and the signing of this reseller agreement by Nokia further strengthens the partnership.
Qvantel and Nokia are also unifying a common cloud infrastructure on Nokia’s Cloud Platform, which is based on RedHat OpenShift. This will provide a harmonised infrastructure for Qvantel Flex BSS and Nokia’s 5G Core, Monetization and other business applications. This will enable customers to run Qvantel Flex BSS and Nokia’s solutions on the same cloud infrastructure, so delivering increased value and efficiency for customers.
Qvantel and Nokia provide a 5G Digital Monetization solution which comprises Nokia Converged Charging (NCC) pre-integrated with Qvantel Flex BSS. This can be provided alongside Nokia’s 5G core and other business applications. Both companies are enjoying significant momentum with their existing partnership winning new CSP customers, such as the recent 5G SA win with Perfectum which will use the Nokia Cloud Platform and provide and a fully convergent solution for mobile and fixed services for B2C and B2B customers. The signing of the reseller agreement and the decision to move to a common cloud infrastructure is indicative of the strong demand both companies are seeing just now for their joint solution.
“Nokia and Qvantel share the same no/low code software foundation to deliver new levels of agility and efficiency to support CSPs as they strengthen their 5G monetization efforts. With this reseller agreement, we look forward to expanding our collaboration with Qvantel and delivering on Nokia’s strategic commitment of leveraging the broader B2B digital ecosystem that is essential to 5G value creation,” said Gustavo Duarte, VP of Global Sales at Nokia.
“Qvantel and Nokia have very similar values and that is fundamental in the success of our partnership. We both share the same Nordic heritage of innovation and are both committed to improving how our customers run their business and give them the ability to innovate,” said Varun Galande, CCO, Qvantel. “Having Qvantel Flex BSS running on Nokia’s Cloud Platform alongside NCC enables CSPs monetize any service and open new revenue streams and deliver the best customer experience possible.”
