CTIA Statement on Open Internet Oral Arguments at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit

“As we said from day one, CTIA and its members support an open Internet. For decades, there has been widespread and bipartisan agreement that wireless is different, a fact that has been recognized by consumers, reflected in law by Congress and – until this year – endorsed by the FCC under Democrats and Republicans alike. Today, we made our case to the court that imposing monopoly-era rules on the wireless industry is unlawful and a step in the wrong direction. We need a regulatory framework that promotes continued investment and innovation to ensure the United States remains the world leader in mobile broadband.”
