Adtran is pushing the capabilities of broadband access networks and encouraging service provider adoption of gigabit technologies through its “enabling communities and connecting lives” initiative, highlighting the economic and social benefits of fast, affordable and widescale broadband. The move towards NFV and SDN is leading to multi-vendor architectures, which means more focus needs to be given to service orchestration, as the industry looks towards more distributed network topologies.
